What is a custom hat bar experience?

A custom hat bar is a fully interactive experience where guests design their own one-of-a-kind hat. Each person chooses from premium felt or straw hats, then personalizes it with accessories like feathers, suede cords, matchbooks, vintage pins, and our signature branded irons for a high-end, Western-luxury finish.

What types of events do you offer hat bars for?

We specialize in weddings, corporate events, private parties, galas, ranch events, open houses, and festivals. From intimate bridal parties to large-scale luxury activations, we tailor each setup to your event style and guest count.

How do I book Moss Custom Hat Bar for my event?

To reserve your date, simply submit an inquiry through our Booking Form or email hello@mosscustomhatbar.com. Once details are confirmed, you’ll receive an invoice — your date is officially secured once the deposit is received.

What’s included in the experience?

Each event includes access to personalized and custom accessories:

  • Premium hats in assorted sizes and colors

  • On-site hat branding with our signature irons

  • Setup, styling assistance, and custom signage

  • Trained Moss team members to guide guests through the experience

Can guests pay for their own hats?

Yes! We can offer flexible event structures depending on the guest count and circumstances:

  • Host-Paid: The host covers all hat and accessory costs.

  • Guest-Paid: Guests purchase their own hats and accessories on-site.

  • Hybrid: The host covers the base hat cost, and guests can upgrade or accessorize individually.

Do you travel outside Northern Colorado?

Absolutely. We travel throughout anywhere in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and beyond. Travel fees apply for locations outside Fort Collins, and we’re happy to provide a custom travel quote for your event destination. We can travel anywhere for corporate events, weddings, unique celebrations, and more!

How far in advance should we book?

Our calendar fills quickly — especially during wedding and holiday seasons. We ideally recommend booking at least 3–6 months in advance to ensure your preferred date, however we are known to make things happen last minute if need be and we can accommodate also!

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, ACH bank transfer, and electronic invoices. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and contract in hand to insure you and our team are guaranteed great success!

How long does setup take?

Depending on event size, setup usually takes 1–2 hours but often depends on the size of the event and conditions. We handle all logistics and teardown, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

Can we customize the setup or theme?

Definitely! We love aligning our hat bar aesthetic with your brand or event theme. We offer options for custom signage, branding irons, ribbon colors, and curated accessory palettes to create a cohesive, styled experience.

Do you offer branded or corporate hats?

Yes! Our branding irons can be customized with your company logo or event monogram — perfect for branded activations, staff gifts, or promotional events. Our custom hat bar activations are perfect for corporate events, team building, large events, and more!

Can you host private hat parties in-studio?

Yes! We offer in-studio private hat bar experiences at Moss Studio in Fort Collins — perfect for birthdays, girls’ nights, bachelorettes and bachelor parties, CSU or CU parties, or holiday celebrations!
