A luxury custom hat styling moment at Brim to Barrel, where Western craftsmanship meets high-fashion event design in an immersive, editorial experience.
In today’s luxury event landscape, the most sought-after experiences are not just beautiful, they are immersive, editorial, and unforgettable. Brim to Barrel embodied exactly that. A refined fusion of Western fashion, elevated craftsmanship, and curated hospitality designed for a clientele that expects more.
Hosted in collaboration with The Socialites Club and What’s Wine Is Yours at Tesoro Wine Bar, this event positioned Moss Custom Hat Bar at the intersection of high fashion and experiential luxury. From the styling to the guest journey, every detail was intentionally designed to resonate with elite event planners, A-listers, incredible women, luxury wineries and brands producing red carpet-level activations.

A New Category of Luxury Event Experience
The Moss Custom Hat Bar is not simply an activation. Founder and hat designer, Lauren Shea has taken her 17+ years in the beauty and fashion industry and developed a fully styled, interactive fashion experience with Sommelier Lauren Karch, tailored for high-end parties, VIP events, brand launches, and A-list gatherings.
At Brim to Barrel, guests entered on a red carpet and were invited into a bespoke hat fashion show where designer Lauren Shea partnered up with Lauren Karch from What’s Wine is Yours to curate a wine tasting experience where the hats designed exemplified all of the tasting notes of each paired Sweet Heart Winery wine. All attendees and were guided through all of the wines, tasting excellence as the hats walked down the runway. After all of the guests were invited to jump into their own design process where they created their own custom hat using premium materials and curated accessories. Each piece was styled on-site by our team to reflect a polished, editorial finish worthy of a campaign shoot or red carpet moment.
For planners and producers, this translates to:
A high-touch guest experience that feels exclusive and personalized
A visually compelling activation that photographs beautifully across media and press
A seamless integration into luxury event design, from unique New York Fashion Week experiences to destination galas.
Editorial Fashion Meets Experiential Design
The evening featured a fashion presentation that elevated the narrative beyond a traditional event activation. Models walked in curated looks styled around Moss hats, demonstrating how each piece functions as both accessory and statement.
This is where Moss differentiates itself within the fashion and events industry. Every hat is not just designed. It is styled with intention, aligning with current editorial trends while maintaining a timeless Western-luxury or fashionable aesthetic. Lauren Shea and partner Kerrie Wilson of Burnin’ It Up shaped, accessorized, and designed all of the beautiful hats that were walked down the runway.
For fashion stylists, creative directors, and luxury planners, and winery events, this creates an opportunity to:
Incorporate wearable art into event storytelling
Offer guests a piece that extends the life of the event beyond the night
Align with the growing demand for experiential, fashion-forward activations
Elevated Hospitality and Guest Experience
